Por qué las cartas Schengen importan más que otras

El visado Schengen tiene la mayor tasa de rechazo de cualquier programa de visado importante: alrededor del 15 % de las solicitudes son denegadas, y en algunos pares nacionalidad-consulado (solicitantes argelinos en el consulado francés; nigerianos en el español) las tasas superan el 50 %. La carta de presentación es su mejor oportunidad para salir del montón "probable denegación" y entrar en el de "aprobar".

Los 29 consulados Schengen aplican las mismas reglas del Código de Visados de la UE pero las interpretan de manera distinta. La carta de presentación es uno de los pocos documentos bajo su control directo; cualquier otra prueba (extractos bancarios, nóminas, carta del empleador) está limitada por sus circunstancias reales. Dedique una hora a hacerla bien.

Si planea viajar al espacio Schengen más de una vez en el próximo año (por ejemplo, dos viajes de trabajo separados o vacaciones más visita familiar), solicite explícitamente múltiples entradas. Añada esta frase al párrafo de "propósito" de la carta:
