Pourquoi les lettres Schengen comptent plus que pour d'autres visas

Le visa Schengen a le taux de refus le plus élevé de tout grand programme de visa - environ 15 % des demandes sont refusées, et dans certains couples nationalité-consulat (Algériens au consulat français ; Nigérians au consulat espagnol), les taux de refus dépassent 50 %. La lettre de motivation est votre meilleure chance de passer de la pile « refus probable » à la pile « approuver ».

Les 29 consulats Schengen appliquent les mêmes règles du Code des visas de l'UE mais les interprètent différemment. La lettre de motivation est l'un des rares documents directement sous votre contrôle - chaque autre élément de preuve (relevés bancaires, fiches de paie, lettre d'employeur) est contraint par votre situation réelle.
