Qu'est-ce qu'une « Lettre d'explication » en terminologie IRCC ?
Immigration, Réfugiés et Citoyenneté Canada (IRCC) appelle la lettre de motivation de visa une « Lettre d'explication ». Elle est téléchargée dans le portail IRCC sous « Renseignements sur le client » → « Lettre d'explication (facultative) » pendant le processus de demande.
La lettre n'est pas formellement requise mais l'IRCC l'invite explicitement. Les agents apprécient la clarté : une lettre d'une page expliquant l'objet, le financement et les liens raccourcit le temps de décision et réduit la probabilité d'une lettre « documents supplémentaires demandés » qui retarde le dossier de plusieurs semaines.

- Utilisez la terminologie IRCC - « Visa de résident temporaire (TRV) », « Permis d'études », « Permis de travail », « Lettre d'explication », « Établissement d'enseignement désigné », « EIMT ». Les agents repèrent rapidement les agents non-demandeurs lorsque la terminologie est négligée.
- Référencez votre UCI (Identifiant unique du client) si vous en avez un d'une demande précédente - même refusée.
